Contract — Consideration — No consideration arising for (1) a promise of reward to a person for doing what he is already contractually bound to do for the promisor, (2) in the absence of a contract between a subcontractor and a contractor a subcontractor is not bound by his tender by reason that the contractor has made a contract in reliance upon the subcontractor's tender — Repudiation — Where A makes a standing offer to supply B, B may accept the offer pro tanto but A may at any time revoke the standing offer in respect of future acceptance.
Shipping and navigation — Bills of lading — A shipper is normally bound by the terms of the bill of lading unless they are inconsistent with the terms of a prior contract of affreightment.
