Contract — Sale of land — Nominee contract — Contract for the sale and purchase of farm land provided for the purchase to be "Hurrell or nominee" - Hurrell, who already owned farm land, nominated a family company which made a declaration that it owned no other farm land — Whether Hurrell's nomination of the company made it "the purchaser" for the purposes of the Land Settlement Promotion and Land Acquisition Act 1952 - Whether the consent of Land Valuation Tribunal was required — Whether the contract could be validated under s 7 of the Illegal Contracts Act 1970 if such validation would defeat the objects of the 1952 Act.
