Criminal law — Evidence — Two accused were jointly charged with obtaining goods by false pretences — Each gave evidence denying any criminality and blaming the other — An application for separate trials, made before the trial commenced, had been refused — Judge had permitted Potter to be cross-examined on her previous convictions for dishonesty — Whether separate trials should have been ordered before trial — Whether Potter should have been cross-examined as to her previous convictions — Whether failure to give an accomplice warning was a misdirection — Evidence Act 1908, s 5(2)(d).
