Criminal law — Sentence — Mentally disordered person — Accused was found guilty of threatening to kill and was sentenced to four years imprisonment — Accused was mentally disordered, was considered a danger to the public and had previous convictions involving violence — Whether imprisonment was appropriate — Whether instead of imprisonment the Court should have ordered that he be detained in a psychiatric hospital — Whether, if imprisonment was appropriate, the sentence was manifestly excessive — Criminal Justice Act 1985, s 118.
