Criminal law — Sentence — Cumulative sentence — Drug dealing offence committed while accused was on bail pending trial on an unrelated charge of burglary — Before he was sentenced on charge of possessing cannabis for sale or supply, accused had been convicted of burglary and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment; an appeal against conviction and sentence had been filed by accused — Whether Judge had power to impose a cumulative sentence for drug offence — Whether a sentence of 12 months imprisonment concurrent with the other sentence was inadequate — Criminal Justice Act 1954, s 28(1).
