Tort — Negligence — Negligent misrepresentation in pre-contract negotiations — Company by its agent contracted to sponsor bowls tournament but failed to pay prize money — Whether an action in negligence could be taken against the maker of a negligent misrepresentation of fact who was not a party to the contract — Whether s 6 of the Contractual Remedies Act 1979 precluded such an action.
