Contract — Breach — Wrongful dismissal — Plaintiff claimed he had been wrongfully dismissed from his employment as the defendant company's New Zealand manager — Defendant sought to strike out those parts of the statement of claim which claimed damages, in contract, for economic loss caused by plaintiff's inability to obtain suitable employment and for shock at his employment being terminated without proper notice or payment — Defendant also sought to strike out a claim in tort for breach of a duty of care — Whether those parts of the statement of claim should be struck out.
