Copyright — Infringement — Damages — Power to award additional damages under s 24(3) of the Copyright Act 1962 - Weekly newspaper started to publish a comprehensive list of the current prices of second-hand used cars — After two issues containing this information had been published, publishers of a trade magazine brought an action for breach of copyright and injunction — Judge held that newspaper had deliberately and flagrantly copied the information from the trade magazine and granted a mandatory injunction — He also held that it was impossible to assess compensatory damages under s 24(1) and awarded additional damages of $7500 under s 24(3) - Whether punitive damages could be awarded under s 24(3) - Whether award was excessive.
