Criminal law — Evidence — Editing the statements of co-accused — Co-accused made statements admissible against them which implicated the accused — Whether on a joint trial such statements could be edited to exclude references to the accused.
Criminal law — Sentence — Two victims received grievous wounds from a stabbing and a shooting during a gang fight — Accused were convicted on charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm under s 188(1) of the Crimes Act 1961 (maximum sentence 14 years imprisonment) — Applications by Solicitor General for leave to appeal — Whether sentences of from one to two years imprisonment were inadequate.
