Hire purchase — Secondhand goods — Meaning of "conspicuous statement" - Terms as to merchantable quality and fitness for purpose implied by ss 12 and 13 of the Hire Purchase Act 1971 may be excluded if purchaser signs a conspicuous statement that he understands that the goods are secondhand and that the vendor does not promise that the goods are fit for use or for any particular purpose — Whether statement signed by purchaser was "conspicuous".
